Doug Combs has been recognized as an Expert in Luscombe technical matters, Luscombe, and Luscombe memorabilla by many with whom he has consulted, including the FAA, the UK CAA, and Owners attending his maintenance seminars from 1996 through 2002. Combs has owned, operated, restored and modified Luscombe aircraft on a continuous basis for more than 30 years, since 1972. He holds an A&P, and FAA Inspector Authorization. He also holds the positions of production manager and engineering liaison for Luscombe parts production with the FAA for the past 10 years. Combs is also an accomplished commercial pilot with a variety of pilot ratings and type certifications. Doug is a CFI specializing in Tail wheel transition, with more than 3000 hours in Luscombe aircraft. |
